Prospective Church Planter Intern,

You may ask what is a Church Planter Intern?  What does a Church Planter Intern do?  How can I become a Church Planter Intern for Treasure State Baptist Association?   I'm glad you asked!  Let me see if I can answer your questions!

A Church Planter Intern is a seminary student that desires to serve in Church Planting or assisting with a new Church Plant for the summer.  It is possible to receive seminary credit while serving as a Church Planter Intern and also receive a small stipend.

As a Church Planter Intern you will assist with exegeting the culture and helping to develop church planting strategies for areas with no Southern Baptist Church.  You will also learn how to take "soil samples" (spiritual receptivity surveys) in areas where a new potential church plants exist.  Church Planter Interns will also work alongside existing Church Planters during the summer to assist with Backyard Bible Clubs, Bible Studies, Summer Camps, Worship and a number of other projects.

If you are interested in becoming a Church Planter Intern next summer please follow the following steps.  The necessary forms linked at the left of this page.
