Montana's nickname is the "Treasure State" from the Spanish words 'Oro y Plata' meaning 'gold and silver'. Pioneers were driven by a vision and a passion to come to Montana, specifically southwest Montana, over 100 years ago to "strike it rich". Many sacrificed their lives for these temporal and perishable treasures that have no eternal value. There is a new pioneer spirit emerging today as people and churches from around the country are helping us stake a claim on reaching over 80% of our growing population to come to discover the greatest treasure of all, Jesus Christ. The purpose of our churches/ministries is to "mine for souls". Over 240,000 people live in eleven counties covering nearly 40,000 square miles in our Association. We have only 28 churches/missions that have reached less than 1% of our population with the gospel. We need God called partners who have the same pioneer spirit to help us fulfill the Great Commission in "the last best place" known as Montana. If you are interested in pastoring, serving as a bi-vocational or volunteer staff member, being a lead church planter and founding pastor please see the appropriate link to the left. If you are interested in short term summer opportunities as a seminary student interested in being a church planter intern, as a college student interested in being part of a summer missionary team, please see the appropriate link to the left. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Associational Office. |
